About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect with a strong background in Operational Technology (OT) to join our team in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. This role will involve designing and implementing robust cybersecurity architectures to protect critical industrial systems, ensuring resilience and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Develop comprehensive cybersecurity architectures tailored to OT environments, ensuring the secure integration of IT and OT systems.
- Security Strategy Development: Create and implement security frameworks that align with industry standards (e.g., IEC 62443, ISO 27001) and best practices to safeguard critical infrastructure.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in OT systems, propose mitigation strategies, and oversee the implementation of security solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, IT departments, and senior stakeholders to understand business needs and integrate cybersecurity measures effectively.
- Compliance and Regulatory Alignment: Ensure that all security practices align with relevant regulations, including NIS2 directive and GDPR where applicable.
- Incident Response Planning: Develop and support incident response protocols for OT environments, enabling quick identification and resolution of security breaches.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security architectures, risk assessments, and best practice guides for internal use and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a cybersecurity architect role, with at least 3 years focused on OT environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of ICS/SCADA systems, PLC architectures, and OT-specific protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, PROFINET).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, particularly IEC 62443 and ISO 27001.
- Proficiency in network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and OT threat intelligence tools.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) with a focus on architecture
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects under tight deadlines.
