About The Role
As a Developer II, you’ll play a key role in the full software development lifecycle - designing, coding, testing, and documenting solutions that meet Curtin’s evolving needs. Working within a dynamic agile team, you’ll collaborate with product owners, UX designers, architects, testers, and other stakeholders to create impactful digital solutions.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document software solutions and enhancements.
- Collaborate in agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement and sprint planning.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to setting technical standards.
- Provide Level 3 support for Curtin’s systems and platforms.
- Mentor junior developers and support team capability growth.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, advocating for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accessibility, quality, and performance standards are met across solutions.
Proven working experience with AWS Cloud, including hands-on expertise in the following services:
- AWS CDK, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions
- Lambda
- API Gateway
- SNS/SQS
- ECS
- DynamoDB
- S3
- CloudWatch
- Demonstrated success in agile software development environments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and ways of working.
- A collaborative mindset, with experience mentoring or supporting peers.
Role Requirements:
- As this is a permanent role, you will require permanent working rights to be considered. Please note that visa sponsorship and/or relocation will not be supported for this role.
- Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required.
