Project Manager

Are you a skilled Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-impact ICT projects in a secure, fast-paced environment?

We're seeking experienced Project Managers across SFIA levels 4 to 6 to lead the delivery of critical ICT initiatives that support Australia’s national security.

• Location: Canberra
• Contract: 12 months + extensions
• Clearance: TSPV (Top Secret Positive Vetting)
• Start Date: September 2025 onwards

About the Role

The Project Manager leads and manages the ICT project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will have a strong understanding of project management principles, and practices, including the ability to produce high-quality project documentation, lead project implementation and delivery, and effective negotiation and stakeholder engagement. The Project relates to the implementation of ICT in partnership with internal and external delivery providers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across the ICT lifecycle.
• Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and influence across cross-functional teams.
• Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and priorities.
• Produce high-quality documentation, reports, and submissions for senior stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in project management or related roles.
• Strong grasp of methodologies like Prince2 and PMBOK.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work in a high-security, regulated environment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Prince2 Practitioner
• AIPM CPPM or CPSPM
• Certificate IV, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Project Management
