A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Intermediate Data Analyst would be:

  • Integrate diverse data sets to generate new insights, handling data from various sources and formats and addressing incomplete data where necessary.
  • Clean data sets to ensure usability.
  • Conduct descriptive and exploratory data analysis.
  • Build and validate predictive and AI models.
  • Develop dashboards to present actionable insights.
  • Communicate analysis results to business stakeholders in a non-technical, accessible

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years experience in a data scientist or similar role
  • Mandatory Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in a Numerate Discipline, such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, etc.
  • Data Processing & Programming: Proven experience with data processing, SQL programming, and data analytics.
  • Statistical Programming: Proficiency in R and Python, with familiarity in libraries such as Caret, Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Data Mining & Analysis: Background in data mining and statistical analysis.
  • Machine Learning Development Cycle: Practical experience in the machine learning development process.
  • Development Tools: Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Github for collaborative development.
  • Dashboard Development: Ability to build dashboards using PowerBI.
  • Data Transformation: Understanding of various data structures and methodologies commonly used in data transformation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to explain complex statistical concepts in a clear, accessible way for non-technical audiences.
  • Predictive Modelling & Business Strategy: Skills in statistical, mathematical, and predictive modelling, coupled with business strategy insights to ask relevant questions and find solutions.
  • Data Privacy & Compliance: Strong knowledge of GDPR and the AI Act's implications for data science applications.
  • Systems Integration: Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple systems and data sets.
