We are seeking a visionary and collaborative Senior Manager – Artificial Intelligence to support our enterprise-wide AI strategy and implementation. This role is pivotal in shaping ethical, scalable, and impactful AI solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence.

The role is under IT transformation team and will be responsible for conceptualizing and setting up AI Centre of Excellence to support various AI initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for establishing robust governance frameworks, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and embedding AI into the fabric of our business processes. Key Responsibilities

• Governance & Ethics: Champion AI governance by ensuring compliance with ethical principles, regulatory standards, and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, DPDPA).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Valmet business areas and functions to facilitate integration of AI into core system and workflows.
• Capability Building: Lead AI training programs and workshops to build organizational literacy and foster a culture of responsible experimentation.
• AI Centre of Excellence Development: Design and establish an AI Centre of Excellence to deliver frameworks, tools, and consultancy supporting a variety of AI initiatives across Valmet.
• AI Portfolio management: Management of AI demands and development pipelince across the organization
• External Engagement: Build strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry groups to stay ahead of emerging trends.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s in AI, Data Science, or Machine Learning preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, advanced analytics, or data science.
• Proven success in leading AI programs within large, global organizations.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong background in AI ethics, governance, and regulatory compliance.
