Backend Software Engineer - Edge Compute

Role

Your job will be to build software that manages Linux PCs in edge compute environments. You will be working with a team of experienced software and robotics engineers to build and deliver software products for industrial robotics and automation.

How your work moves the mission forward

• Manage the complexity of a fleet of Industrial PCs, so our users can focus on industrial automation
• Mitigate and resolve failures in the OS and Kubernetes cluster
• Ensure security of our on-prem deployments, so our customers' data is safe
  
  

Skills you will need to be successful

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Two years of experience in software development
• Experience with one or more backend programming languages (Go, Python, C++)
• Experience with Linux administration and networking
• Experience managing a Kubernetes cluster or developing an Operator
  
  

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

• Experience with distributed systems, such as cluster, IoT, or fleet management
• Experience with embedded Linux or single-purpose operating systems (eg Flatcar, Talos, ...)
