Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting organisational objectives by managing, processing, and analysing data, while also driving best practice in data strategy across the business. Reporting to the Head of IT, the Data Analyst will contribute to both IT-led initiatives and broader organisational projects.

The principal responsibilities of the Data Analyst include:

• Developing and advising on the creation of dashboards to support organisational goals.
• Supporting the planning and implementation of data projects, including advising on effective data visualisation.
• Contributing to organisation-wide, data-related projects by engaging in cross-divisional initiatives and meetings led by the Head of IT.
• Promoting and driving data-led storytelling within the organisation.
• Assisting other teams in building analytical capabilities, dashboards, and insights to inform decision-making.
• Ensuring robust processes for data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting in line with organisational standards and policies.

Essential

• Proficiency in data visualisation and reporting (Power BI preferred).
• Ability to create dashboards and reports and communicate insights effectively.
• Experience in statistical analysis, data validation, and monitoring (including use of simple scripts for processing and automation).
• Experience integrating and reporting data using APIs.
• Strong statistical and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Awareness of machine learning concepts and AI applications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and divisions.
• Experience in storytelling with data.
• Proven experience supporting project delivery individually and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Familiarity with data governance and security compliance processes.
• Experience with data analysis in line with defined organisational standards and policies.
• Background in telecommunications or other regulated industries, within government, consultancy, or corporate environments.
• Strong presentation and engagement skills.
