Join our Data and Analytics Team in Vilnius

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with hands-on experience and proven track record in generative AI to join our growing team in the beautiful city of Vilnius (location is fixed). You’ll be working at the forefront of applied AI, helping us design, develop, deploy, and maintain intelligent systems that create real-world impact for our customers and business value for COWI.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be required to:

• Develop and fine-tune AI-assisted tools and models.
• Apply classical machine learning and/or other AI techniques to solve diverse business challenges in collaboration with subject matter experts across the business.
• Design experiments, analyse data, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into production workflows.
• Contribute to best practices in data governance, model monitoring, and responsible AI usage

Furthermore, you will have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally with solid experience working with generative AI frameworks, specifically OpenAI.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modelling.
• Proficient in Python and common data science libraries (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, pandas).
• Good understanding of best practices in coding (eg. code documentation and README files, version control, and testing methodologies)
• Experience working with Azure cloud, while experience with AWS or GCP platforms is a plus.
• Curious, collaborative, and motivated by solving complex problems with data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, capable of collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
• Practical knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and workflow scheduling with Apache Airflow.

Salary for this position ranges from 3900-5200EUR before taxes. We believe in your professional capability therefore the final offer will be based on your competencies and experience.
