About the role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Specialist to strengthen our security team. In this role, you will perform detailed security assessments, support regulatory compliance, and ensure security-by-design across Walletto’s operations. What you will do:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of Walletto’s security framework, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor dedicated security communication channels and escalate to stakeholders.
• Track ICT and cybersecurity regulatory developments (DORA, NIS2, PSD2, PCI DSS), prepare summaries, and assist in implementation.
• Participate in internal security awareness programs and training activities.
• Perform vulnerability scans, configuration checks, log reviews, and remediation tracking.
• Maintain access control and security documentation (e.g., compliance and access registers).
• Contribute to third-party/vendor onboarding and security assessments.
• Act as a first point of contact for employees on security-related queries.
• Assist in internal/external audits, inspections, and reporting for the Management Board and supervisory authorities.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure secure product/service development (“security by design”).
• Handle endpoint protection, incident preparedness, and day-to-day security monitoring.

What we expect from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of proven experience in information security, ICT governance, or related roles (Fintech/financial sector experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of ICT and cybersecurity regulatory frameworks (DORA, NIS2, PSD2, PCI DSS).
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Upper-intermediate English (B2+); knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.
• Practical, entry-to-intermediate level information security knowledge and a proactive mindset.
