Product Designer – Freelance Contract

This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on the design and development of premium concrete wall panels, bespoke furniture, and other products crafted for the high-end building materials market. The designer will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into production-ready designs that embody luxury, innovation, and timeless aesthetics. This position begins as a single project, with the potential to evolve into a long-term collaboration. Remote collaboration is supported, provided the designer can oversee the full process from concept to finalized product design.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design premium concrete wall panels, furniture, and complementary building material products.
• Create detailed design specifications, drawings, and models suitable for prototyping and production.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with premium market standards.
• Research and incorporate contemporary design trends, materials, and finishes tailored to the luxury building materials industry.
• Balance functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal in all deliverables.
• Provide design iterations and refinements based on feedback and performance testing.
• Ensure brand consistency and alignment with high-end market positioning throughout the design process.

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience in product design within the building materials or furniture design industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-end projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar 3D modeling and rendering software.
• Strong knowledge of concrete as a design material, including its structural and aesthetic properties.
• Ability to take projects from initial concept through to production-ready deliverables.
• Strong understanding of luxury market demands and premium product positioning.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting design concepts and justifying design decisions.
• Self-driven and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
