Job Title: Contact Center AI Engineer
Location: Bucharest, Romania – Onsite (3 days per week)
About the Role
We are looking for a Contact Center AI Engineer to join our team in Bucharest. This role is ideal for a dynamic, communicative professional with a strong technical background and passion for AI-driven solutions. You will collaborate with contact center operations to design, integrate, and customize AI copilots that transform customer interactions.
As a local product evangelist, you will bridge the gap between technology and business, acting as both a trusted advisor and brand ambassador for our solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with contact center leaders to translate operational needs into scalable AI copilot solutions.
- Map customer requirements into clear technical specifications for low-code or API-based integrations.
- Perform hands-on integrations and API configurations with CRMs, telephony systems, and case management tools.
- Design and document technical requirements, workflows, and data flows to ensure seamless platform integration.
- Deliver demos, workshops, and briefings as a trusted advisor and local AI evangelist.
- Provide prompt engineering support to optimize AI copilot responses.
- Stay up to date with the latest in generative AI, conversational AI, and contact center technologies.
- Develop training materials and user guides to support adoption.
- Track solution performance metrics, generating insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a brand ambassador to promote solutions internally and externally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering, data science, architecture, or solution consulting (preferably in contact center, SaaS, or AI environments).
- Proven experience documenting technical requirements and data flows.
- Hands-on expertise with Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
- Strong knowledge of API design/integration with CRM, telephony, or case management systems.
- Experience in generative/conversational AI (prompt engineering & optimization).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving mindset and adaptability to new technologies.
- Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or with contact centers.
- Familiarity with contact center KPIs and operations.
- Advanced skills in prompt engineering (zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, etc.).
- Experience with SaaS/cloud technical solution design.
- Prior role as a product evangelist or similar.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience working in agile environments.
