Summary

We are seeking on-site expert consultants with deep knowledge in performance optimization, system-wide issue investigation, and certification testing across multiple operating systems. The primary objective is to strengthen the performance, stability, and certification readiness of automotive platforms at our Göteborg/Lindholmen site.

This is not a standard Android application developer role. The ideal candidate will be an Android framework-level developer with a strong understanding of the Linux/Android kernel, preferably with experience in a hypervisor-based environment like QNX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze system performance through manual testing, log reviews, automated test analysis, and field reports. Implement code changes and configuration adjustments to improve key performance metrics. Develop and maintain performance measurement tools and automated test cases.
  • Investigate and resolve complex system issues related to boot stability, startup/shutdown behavior, ADB connectivity, logging frameworks, SELinux, and multimedia. This includes troubleshooting hardware/software interactions at the Linux/Android framework level, especially in hypervisor-based environments.
  • Execute Google's xTS (CTS, GTS, VTS) certification testing on various hardware setups. Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure compliance.
  • Document findings, code updates, and performance recommendations in a structured, actionable manner. Proactively communicate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Google, QNX) via Microsoft Teams, JIRA, Confluence, and email to ensure alignment with project milestones and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with the Android framework and a solid understanding of the Linux/Android kernel.
  • Proven expertise in performance optimization and in-depth system-wide issue investigation.
  • Experience in a hypervisor-based environment, such as QNX, is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in analyzing system logs, automated test data, and fault reports.
  • Experience with Google xTS certification processes (CTS, GTS, VTS), including testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration with partners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Previous Volvo, Aptiv, Haleytech, Ecarx experience is a plus.
