The Role

This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering role for someone who thrives on building robust, scalable systems and loves solving meaningful customer problems. You’ll work closely with product and design to create seamless, secure, and joyful user experiences in banking and financial services.

You’ll be part of an international team located across UAE made up of sharp, mission-driven engineers working in a fast-moving environment that values ownership, craft, and speed.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build: Architect and develop scalable APIs, services for core banking products (e.g., accounts, cards, payments, brokerage, crypto or automation tools).
• Collaborate Deeply: Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver customer-centric features from idea to production.
• Own Quality: Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and observability best practices.
• Improve Systems: Help shape technical architecture, propose performance improvements, and identify areas for tech debt reduction.
• Mentor & Learn: Share knowledge with junior team members and stay ahead of industry trends, especially in fintech and emerging tech (AI/LLMs).

About You

You have:

• 5+ years of experience building modern web applications and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in JVM stacks.
• Deep understanding of backend fundamentals (REST APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud infrastructure ideally AWS).
• Experience working in high-performance, agile environments shipping user-facing products.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and working on regulated systems (e.g., finance, payments, identity).
