Frontend Developer

A fast-growing engineering team at one of North America's largest financial companies is driving the next generation of AI-native web applications, plugins, and registries that power customer experiences at scale. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape how modern web apps are designed, built, and operated, playing a central part in the company’s transformation into an AI-driven platform.

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer with a passion for building and operating web applications, services, and APIs that deliver measurable customer value. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and isn’t afraid to dive into complex technical problems or new technologies.

This exciting opportunity begins as an 11-month T4 OR IC offering a hybrid schedule in downtown Toronto, ON as well as the potential to extend or convert to permanent employment.

What You'll Do

• Own large-scale projects end-to-end, from design and development through to production.
• Partner directly with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with teammates while fostering a culture of technical growth and learning.
• Make quick, informed decisions in a fast-moving environment to achieve outcomes.
• Tackle critical technical challenges and bring those learnings back into the product and team.
• Advocate passionately for the customer experience in every decision.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, ideally with Node and React.
• Strong background in large-scale, consumer-facing applications and services.
• Proficiency in server-side technologies, cloud platforms, and modern web development practices.
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM/XP development environments.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have

• Expertise in service design, discovery, and runtime orchestration systems.
• Experience scaling and operating high-traffic services and APIs.
• Familiarity with React best practices and patterns.
