Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, Health Product Development, the Product Manager, Health Product and Innovation will play an important role in supporting the strategic development, innovation, launch, and management of health products across Sun Life.

What will you do?

• Identify, assess, prioritize and business case opportunities and develop corresponding proof of concept tests or product strategies factoring in user needs, product fit, path to implementation (i.e., build/buy/partner), partner identification and evaluation, market dynamics, scalability, and paths to growth and income
• Execute the proof-of-concept testing/product strategies, including activities related to planning, internal governance and approval processes, stakeholder management, measurement, etc. and where applicable support cross-functional, cross-business unit and/or partnership execution activities
• Build and nurture positive working relationships with internal stakeholders (business partners, Legal, Risk, and Operations) and external stakeholders (healthcare stakeholders and other potential partners)
• Help maintain and evolve the overall health product and partnerships strategy and roadmap

• Proven balance of analytical and creative problem-solving skills, ability to focus on the critical business issues in a data-driven and fact-based manner
• Thoughtful, inquisitive and comfortable in challenging the status quo, infinitely curious
• Innovative, creative, collaborative and a strong team player who is ready, willing, and able to help others in times of need
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
• 3+ years of relevant work experience (product management, strategy, health tech, health insurance)
• Relevant education/training (e.g. diploma, university degree, etc.) in Health-related studies, product management, business or other related fields would be considered an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
