As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will focus on the technical implementation of the AI platform. Together with other ML-engineers, architects, and data scientists, you will build and maintain our on-premises, open-source-based delivery platform and expand it with us onto the AWS Cloud.

What You Can Do:

− You will take a central role in the development of the machine-learning platform, supporting the data science team by maintaining software and infrastructure components, building new functionality, and ensuring compliance with all IT and regulatory requirements.

− Together with the Architecture Owner, AI Architect, and other ML-Engineers, you will design and realize a roadmap for the continuous evolution of the ML-platform, incorporating relevant cutting-edge tools and technologies

− You will establish clear, reusable, well-documented base patterns and templates and assist data scientists with implementing them into their cases, performing code reviews and coaching team members in technical best practices.

What you bring:

− Master’s degree in computer science related field and/or equivalent professional experience

− Several years’ experience deploying and maintaining robust data processing and machine-learning pipelines in a professional setting

− Ability to write clean, modular, production-grade python code following best practices in software development

− Strong communication skills and ability to balance engineering and analytical priorities to translate data science models into reusable, maintainable systems

− Experience with these tools or similar: python, helm, kubernetes, airflow, git, gitlab-ci, prometheus, grafana, splunk, argo-cd, AWS cloud, spark, SQL

Education

− University/technical college degree in computer science or comparable.

Language Skills

− English oral and written

− Optional: German oral (and written)
