About this opportunity:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic MSc student to join our innovative team and work on integrating MacOS machines into Kubernetes environments for AI and machine learning workloads. You’ll explore ways to harness Mac Studio’s advanced GPU and AI accelerator capabilities in a secure, high-performance containerized setup, enabling heterogeneous compute across platforms.

What you will do:

Investigate and implement solutions to enable GPU and AI accelerator usage in MacOS containers within a Kubernetes environment.

Explore two technical approaches: virtualization-based hardware acceleration or MacOS userspace execution from Kubernetes jobs.

Assess solutions for performance, security, and usability.

Collaborate closely with teammates and contribute to the team’s technical knowledge.

Document results and share findings in presentations to stakeholders.

The skills you bring:

Currently enrolled in an MSc program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid programming experience in Python, Golang, or similar.

Knowledge or interest in machine learning, AI model development, and algorithm testing.

Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, GPU compute hardware, or MacOS Metal is a merit.

Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly.
