Qevlar Is B2B SaaS Startup That Strives To Massively Increase The Productivity Of Cybersecurity Teams. We Develop AI Cybersecurity Analysts That Augment Security Operations Centers (SOCs). Since Our Creation 2 Years Ago, We Have

  • Raised €14 million in seed funding led by EQT Ventures and Forgepoint Capital
  • Been incubated both by Microsoft (genAI studio) and Meta (AI program)
  • Deployed our solution to Global 500 companies and leading MSSPs in EMEA and NA (Equans, Nomios, Globalconnect, Almond)

We're now looking for our first full-time (CDI) People Operations Specialist to help us structure, support, and elevate our fast-growing team in Paris.

What Will You Do

You’ll play a critical role in evolving our core web platform — both frontend and backend — with a focus on performance, API design, and product integrations. This is a backend-heavy role with a full-stack flavor.

Backend Scalability & API Performance

  • Refactor REST APIs to reduce over-fetching and inefficient database calls.
  • Push async processing across high-latency parts of the stack.
  • Introduce structured pagination, connection pooling, or background jobs

Database Modeling & Architecture

  • Enhance scalability and maintainability.
  • Debug, refactor, and optimize slow queries.

Integrations & Observability

  • Hook up tools like PostHog, Mixpanel, and Sentry for better product & tech insight
  • Build integrations with external APIs for internal tools or client-facing features

Who You Are

  • Software engineer with 5 years' hands-on experience
  • A strong Python developer with hands-on experience using SQLAlchemy in production environments
  • Proficient with modern frontend frameworks like Vue.js (or similar single-page application frameworks)
  • Comfortable building responsive, user-friendly interfaces with solid CSS skills — flexbox, CSS variables, and utility-first frameworks are second nature to you
  • Highly experienced with PostgreSQL, with a strong grasp of relational database design
  • A query performance expert — you understand indexing, execution plans, JOIN optimization, and caching at a deep level
  • Security-conscious, with working knowledge of JWT, SSO, and OWASP top 10 best practices
  • Skilled at designing scalable, well-structured REST APIs
  • A collaborative engineer who values clean code, strong documentation, and working closely with teammates across disciplines
