Specialist Physical Security Operations

hysical Security encompasses all organizational, structural, and technical security measures and concepts aimed at protecting people, rooms, buildings, perimeters, and supply systems, as well as the corresponding assets. For professional implementation and monitoring of compliance, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team within BME in a “second line of defense” role.

• Implement and monitor compliance with physical security requirements, identifying and addressing deficiencies and gaps at the locations under your responsibility.
• Report security breaches, events, and deviations from regulations to the Local Country Head, Chief Security Officer, and Physical Security Officer.
• Make recommendations for continued security monitoring and risk mitigation efforts.
• Provide ongoing assessment of safety and security policies, protocols, and guidelines, consulting with senior leadership.
• Ensure risks in your area are recorded and tracked in the relevant risk database.
• Promote awareness among employees and management, and support other functions in security-related matters.
• Make recommendations for continued security monitoring and risk mitigation efforts.

• Candidates must hold the title of Physical Security Director (or equivalent) and have 4–6 years of relevant experience in Physical Security. 4–6 years ideally in a second line of defense role and in the financial sector.
• Solid knowledge of physical security objectives and regulations (legislation, fire, CCTV, alarms, etc.). Mandatory:
• Ability to analyze situations quickly, problem-solve, and handle adversity across multiple disciplines.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, including experience coordinating cross-functional teams and presenting effectively.
• Flexible and calm under pressure, able to work independently, with 24/7 availability for major security emergencies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English, with strong writing and presentation abilities (PowerPoint, Excel).
