Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Full Stack Engineer located in Dubai. The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our web applications. Daily tasks include coding, debugging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role demands a thorough understanding of both client-side and server-side technologies to ensure smooth integration and functionality.

Role and Responsibilities

Core Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain both client-side and server-side architecture
• Build responsive, user-friendly front-end applications with modern frameworks
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints
• Implement security and data protection measures

Collaboration & Process:

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle from concept to deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
• Document technical specifications and maintain clear project documentation

Technical Leadership:

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture planning
• Mentor junior developers when needed
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

Requirements

Technical Skills

Front-End:

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with at least one modern framework (React, Vue.js, or Angular)
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with state management (Redux, Context API, Vuex, etc.)

Back-End:

• Strong knowledge of at least one server-side language (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, C#, or PHP)
• Experience with server-side frameworks (Express, Django, Rails, Spring, .NET, etc.)
• Database expertise in both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
• Understanding of RESTful API design and/or GraphQL

General Technical:

• Version control systems (Git)
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) is a plus

Experience & Soft Skills

•  3 years + of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Selenium)
• Understanding of web security best practices
• Experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity with mobile development
