We are recruiting full‑time Training Data Specialists as independent contractors to help train an advanced mobile voice assistant for a YC-backed company.

About The Role

You will help train an advanced mobile phone assistant that can control any app on a phone, using just voice instructions. You will review the AI assistant's behavior and create training and tuning data to improve its capabilities and automations.

• Contract length: 6 months (with the possibility to extend)
• Hours: minimum of 40 hrs/week
• Pay rate: $30 to $45 / hour
• Availability: you are generally available during Pacific Time (UTC-7) working hours for pre-scheduled meetings and check-ins
• Location: Remote — based in the USA or Canada
• Classification: Independent contractor to Fixpoint (at‑will)
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Execute defined test cases on iOS or Android devices, following detailed task prompts
• Identify inaccuracies or failures in the assistant's automated actions and document clear, concise corrections
• Apply comparison, demonstration, and correction feedback methodologies to refine model behavior
• Log issues accurately in the client's tracking tools and collaborate with quality‑control leads to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistently high‑quality annotations
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Native‑level English fluency and strong college‑level writing skills
• Based in the USA
• Extensive personal or professional use of at least one voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant) and knowledge of its capabilities
• Hands‑on experience using a mobile operating systems (iOS or Android)
• Familiarity with at least one AI tuning workflow (Comparison, Demonstration, or Correction feedback, etc.)
• Proven record of obsessive attention to detail and meeting quality targets
• You have access to a desktop or laptop computer
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Voice UI / Conversation Design principles
• Experience designing end-do-end dialog systems where voice is the primary interaction method
• Text-to-Speech (TTS) tuning experience
• Prior Supervised Fine‑Tuning (SFT) data creation experience
• Extensive experience with other AI annotation and data labeling projects
