Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Oxford (4 days per week on site, 1 from home)

Contract Length: 6 months


Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join the Research & Development team of a leading medical industry client. This is an exciting opportunity within our Consultants on Demand offering – a start-up style consultancy environment backed by the global security and resources of Randstad Sourceright.


Responsibilities:


  • Drive and manage large, cross-functional R&D projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Deliver complex design projects for new product implementation with a hands-on, agile approach.
  • Act as a key connector between engineering teams and executive stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates and insights.
  • Support teams in identifying and overcoming technical challenges through hands-on problem-solving.
  • Ensure alignment across multiple workstreams, fostering collaboration and a quality-focused culture.
  • Serve as a customer-facing PM, thriving in environments of ambiguity and rapid change while maintaining project excellence.


Key Skills / Experience Required:


  • Senior-level project management experience within complex R&D environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering new product designs in regulated industries (medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or similar).
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable presenting complex technical concepts to senior executives.
  • Agile, adaptable, and hands-on approach to project delivery.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Passion for quality and continuous improvement.


Preferred Technical Skills & Competencies:


  • Prior experience in highly regulated industries with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum.
  • Familiarity with design control processes in the medical device sector.
