Senior Front-End Engineer

Location: Remote from Australia (Must have Aus Citizen or PR)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to play a leading role in the design, development, and optimisation of scalable front-end applications across web and mobile. This position will suit someone with deep expertise in React (and React Native nice to have) who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys balancing technical excellence with practical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement high-performance, maintainable front-end solutions.
• Apply best practices in modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, React Native, HTML, and CSS.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion clean, reusable component design.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Optimise applications for performance, accessibility, and scalability across platforms.
• Influence long-term technical strategy and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

• 5+ years of front-end development experience, with at least 3 years in React or React Native.
• Strong track record in front-end architecture, state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query), and API integration (REST, GraphQL).
• Demonstrated success in performance optimisation and cross-platform compatibility.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience mentoring, supporting team development, and fostering a positive engineering culture.
• Preferred: hands-on experience deploying mobile applications to iOS and Android app stores.
