Senior Software Engineer

Role: Full Stack Developer (AI / LLM / GenAI)

Location: Helsinki, Finland

My client is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their Helsinki team and help build intelligent, AI-powered applications. This is an opportunity to work with the latest Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) technologies, creating next-generation solutions that transform how users interact with digital products.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications that integrate AI and LLM capabilities.
• Design APIs and services to bridge frontend applications with AI/ML backends.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and integrate vector databases.
• Optimize AI-driven features through prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and product designers.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security in AI-powered applications.
• Stay on top of the evolving GenAI landscape and introduce best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or equivalent full-stack technologies.
• Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral) and open-source AI frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS).
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven background in software architecture, API design, and scalable systems.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-modal AI (text, images, audio, video).
• Knowledge of MLOps and productionizing ML models.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and ethical AI practices.
