You will shape the next generation of data-driven inventory selection solutions that power all stages of our business, from retail to dealer networks. This includes designing and evolving advanced modeling approaches, exploring scalable architectures, and building a versatile library of machine learning algorithms that address complex challenges and deliver measurable impact. Your work will focus on developing flexible, high-impact solutions to optimize the sourcing and inflow of second-hand vehicles, driving end-to-end processes—from researching to prototyping and deploying scalable models that enhance our inventory pipeline.

Job Description

• Contribute to building robust sourcing models that drive measurable business impact by optimizing vehicle inflow and ensure long-term scalability of our inventory sourcing operations.
• Translate business needs into machine learning solutions that bring positive business impact
• Partner with engineering and product teams to deploy Data Science services and embed them in the Auto1 tech infrastructure
• Monitor model performance in production, share results with stakeholders and develop actionable next steps
• Identify business opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders and partners in tech to drive growth
• Set priorities and support junior members to achieve project goals
  
  

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with a broad range of machine learning techniques and the ability to select and adapt the most appropriate approach for complex, real-world scenarios
• Experience with advanced modelling techniques, knowledge of pytorch, keras and tensorflow is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with coding best practices and code reviews in git/github
• Experience in deployment in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and CI/CD pipeline tools
• Proficiency in the full lifecycle of data science projects, including initializing/designing, developing (building the model), and deploying models in production (full stack)
• Strong communication skills to effectively present findings in a clear and unambiguous way
