About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Solution Architect (NetApp) to join our client’s mission-critical Proof of Concept (POC) project, driving the integration of NetApp as the storage backbone for an OpenShift platform. This freelance opportunity is designed for a builder who thrives on solving complex storage and automation challenges, shaping the future of cloud-native infrastructure in a hybrid, pan-European environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical evaluation and integration of NetApp CSI driver with OpenShift, focusing on provisioning persistent volumes (PV/PVC).
• Design and implement automation workflows, leveraging Ansible or similar tools, to streamline storage operations and API integrations.
• Architect and validate S3 provisioning solutions within the OpenShift environment.
• Assess and enhance security and multitenancy capabilities for storage integration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create a comprehensive solution design document, detailing the integration of NetApp as the storage backend for OpenShift.
• Act as a technical advisor, sharing insights and best practices throughout the POC lifecycle.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Expert-level experience with NetApp storage solutions (recent, hands-on expertise required).
• Strong background in enterprise storage architecture and integration.
• Experience with OpenShift (beginner level or above).
• Familiarity with Ansible or similar automation tools (beginner level or above).
• Proven ability to design and document complex technical solutions.

Language Proficiency

• English: Professional working proficiency (required)
• French: Nice to have

Other Requirements

• Recent, relevant experience as a Senior Solution Architect (within the current year).
• Availability for a part-time (1/5) freelance engagement over 3 months.
• Hybrid work model: Brussels/Luxembourg with remote flexibility.
