Amsterdam - We're looking for a skilled Android Developer who will contribute to delivering news and magazines content to millions of mobile users.

About The Team

As an Android Developer, you will join a team that creates the platform front-to-back (DevOps) with back-end, front-end, web- and app-developers. We don't have "bug"-teams, so 'You build it, You Run it!'. In close collaboration with other teams and editors, the team you will join, create the best experiences for sites and apps for the premium news brands of DPG Media.

What You Will Be Doing

Within the Selectives Area (consisting of five teams), we create the best experiences across the digital presence of our premium news and magazines brands: De Volkskrant, Trouw, Het Parool, De Morgen, HUMO, Libelle, Margriet and Flair.

Technically, we are building a white-label platform for multiple DPG Media brands for web, mobile and tablets. Together with your team, you will build and run the best possible platform for our users. As a member of a Scrum team, you will also work closely with the Product Owner, our (UX) designers and business stakeholders.

Who You Are

• We are seeking an experienced Android developer who also loves learning new things and keeps a close eye on technological developments. Since we highly value quality, this should be your focus as well;
• We work Agile/Scrum so you should have experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies;
• We would love for you to be positively critical and always looking for the 'why' of things;
• Fluent in English.

💰 A salary that matches your work experience; between €3.432,32 and €6.751,19

📝 A 36-hour workweek (depending on contract type)
