Senior Network Engineer – Netherlands

Location: Hoofddorp, North Holland

Working Pattern: Hybrid (partially remote)

Salary: €65,000 – €85,000 per annum

Overview:

A leading technology services provider is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its Network Services team. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement advanced network solutions for mission-critical environments, working on high-impact projects across North Holland, South Holland, and Utrecht.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage Datacenter LAN infrastructure
• Translate network designs into working configurations
• Provide second and third-line support
• Collaborate with development and project teams to ensure secure and up-to-date configurations
• Monitor IT infrastructure performance and availability
• Troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors
• Participate in project planning, cost analysis, and proof-of-concept development
• Design and implement IP and VOIP network solutions

Required Experience:

• 8+ years in network support, configuration, and implementation
• 6+ years in core switching, routing, MPLS, and firewalls
• Experience in network and security architecture across various domains
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience with Juniper Apstra, EVPN-VXLAN, QFX/PTX series
• Experience in complex enterprise LAN/WAN environments

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ACI, SDN, and large-scale network design
• Familiarity with protocols such as BDP, OSPF, MP-FBP EVPN, VXLAN, VPC
• JNCIP certification (JNCIE is a plus)
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, GitLab) and scripting (Perl, Python, Shell)
