Cyber Security Expert

Join our cybersecurity team as an Cyber Security Expert and become a strategic guardian of our digital infrastructure. In this role, you'll shape the security landscape of our organization by evaluating, challenging, and enhancing security architectures before they go live.

As our security design expert, you'll work at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic thinking, reviewing solution architectures, identifying vulnerabilities in proposed designs, and ensuring our networks and operational technologies meet the highest security standards. This is a consultative position where your insights will directly influence critical security decisions across the organization. You'll report directly to our Head of Cyber Security and play a central role in high-impact security initiatives. This position offers genuine influence over our security posture, with the autonomy to drive meaningful improvements across our infrastructure.

Your responsibilities:

• Evaluate and challenge proposed solution designs to identify potential security gaps and recommend improvements
• Proactively identify security risks in complex IT and OT environments before they materialize into threats
• Ensure all systems adhere to established security best practices and industry standards
• Provide expert consultation on security matters to technical teams and project stakeholders
• Apply security principles across diverse technology stacks, with emphasis on Cisco and Microsoft environments

Must-have skills:

• Native-level German fluency with excellent English proficiency
• Demonstrated experience securing both traditional networks and operational technology environments
• Proven ability to review, assess, and challenge security architectures at a conceptual level
• Deep understanding of security best practices, frameworks, and implementation strategies
• Hands-on experience with complex Cisco and Microsoft technology environments
• Self-motivated professional who anticipates risks and takes initiative to address them

Nice to have skills:

• Cloud and application security knowledge
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)
• Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, and security assessment technologies
