Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: To design and enhance consumer shopping experiences in Edge browser, Bing, and Copilot, focusing on AI-driven features

• Key projects: Contribute to Copilot shopping experiences, Edge Copilot, and Bing shopping features

• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: 20-25% meetings, 75-80% heads-down design work

• Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, human computer interaction, or equivalent required

• Best vs. Average: Ideal resume includes strong Figma/prototyping skills, AI-related app experience, collaborative communication,

• Performance Indicators: Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively; quality of work and communication

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Designer to join the MAI Shopping team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of AI-powered shopping by crafting intuitive, user-centered experiences that delight and empower users across the globe.

Responsibilities:

- Design expressive, human-centered solutions that balance emotion and function, while aligning with internal system guidelines

- Communicate clear perspectives on customer experiences and their underlying rationale using diverse visual storytelling techniques.

- Rapidly visualize concepts for new product experiences or existing ones.

Partner with product, engineering, research and design to create beautiful and inclusive expressive content that delights and engages our customers.

- Create or implement prototypes and assist with presentations. Collaborate with other design teams on shared initiatives.

- Develop style guidelines, specs, or other deliverables to document the essential elements of a design solution for development or future use.

- Actively represent the design and collaborate with engineering and product teams to champion customer excellence.

- With an obsessive eye for detail, to ensure quality fit and finish for product releases.

Qualifications:

- 2-4 years of UX design / UI design/product design work experience required

Portfolio demonstrating excellence in user experience and interaction design, visual design, creativity, and compelling storytelling.

- Ability to discuss and present an in-depth knowledge of standard design principles: color, typography, layout, and brand.

- Excellent & clear communication skills

- Experience in planning and delivering work independently in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

- Bachelor's degree in interaction design, visual communication, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience.

- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (required) and emerging Ai technologies

- Proficiency in advanced prototyping tools, adept at translating design specifications into tangible prototypes, including motion design

- Experience with brand and marketing design, icon design, and typographic design is a plus.

- Customer-centric mindset

- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment via exceptional time management skills is critical
