Security Analyst

Airswift is seeking a Security Analyst to join our client’s Cybersecurity Team. This is an onsite role based in Calgary, focused on protecting the organization from cyber threats through proactive monitoring, incident response, and governance. The successful candidate will work across departments to implement and mature cyber risk controls, leveraging deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the development and delivery of cybersecurity roadmaps
• Assess, select, and implement security controls and tools
• Maintain and improve incident response plans and playbooks
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and investigations
• Support audits and third-party security assessments
• Prepare reports and provide technical guidance for legal discovery
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity and operations
• 5+ years in incident management and response
• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls and ForeScout network access control
• Experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike and Carbon Black
• Knowledge of cloud/SaaS security, governance frameworks, and risk controls
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, etc.)
• Certifications such as CISSP or SANS are an asset
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment

Additional Information

• Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with on-call rotation
• This is a safety-sensitive position
• Ariba experience is considered a plus
