Java Software Engineer

For one of our clients in the banking industry we are currently looking for a Java Backend Developer

- Start date: ASAP

- Duration: 6 Months + possibility for extension

- Location: Zurich (3 days on-site / 2 days from home)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, and Maven.
• Design and implement web services and APIs.
• Contribute to a microservices architecture, preferably with Spring Boot.
• Exposure with Angular and web components.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Ansible, GitLab).
• Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Java development
• Experience working in a finance field
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Azure is a plus.
• Fluent in English
• German language would be of advantage
