Information Security Officer

Are you an experienced Information Security Officer with a proven track record in establishing and implementing cyber and information security architectures? Do you want to play a crucial role in protecting a major financial institution? Then we are looking for you!

We are seeking a senior Information Security Officer to join our team of security experts. You will be responsible for advising, verifying, and challenging the information security within the insurance branch of our organization. You will work on strategic projects, ensure security in all our processes and systems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture. Your analytical and communicative skills will enable you to make complex security concepts understandable for both technical teams and senior management. You are a driven team player who also takes independent initiatives.

Experience:

● 5+ years of experience

Education:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.

Your Tasks:

● Advise and challenge the business on information security best practices and compliance.

● Verify the security of our IT processes, systems, and projects.

● Define and implement information security policies and procedures.

● Conduct risk assessments and manage security incidents.

● Collaborate with technical teams to ensure security is embedded in the design of new systems and applications.

● Stay updated on the latest cyber security threats and technologies.

● Provide clear and concise reports on the security status to senior management.

Your Profile:

● Proven experience as an Information Security Officer or in a similar role.

● Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

● Experience with risk management, security auditing, and incident response.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.

● Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

● Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
