Engineering Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead projects within the Drive Products division in Helsinki, providing clear guidelines, tasks, and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback to cross-functional project team. You will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the project.

The role is based in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki.

In this role, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction at all stages of the project, as well as guiding, coaching, and developing the skills and knowledge of the project team.

Work model is: hybrid

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Leading efficiently the project and the project team to deliver the pre-defined deliverables by proactively addressing project bottlenecks
• Defining project plan and securing priority between the scope, budget, schedule, risk management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Monitoring and controlling project implementation to ensure achievements of commitments and targeted milestones and gates
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with the steering committee and the other stakeholders, by communicating effectively with them
• Managing the project according to agreed requirements, ensuring that all targets are met, and that relevant guidelines are followed
• Monitoring progress, financials, and quality with agreed KPIs
• Ensuring understanding of customer value and business case, acting to ensure customer satisfaction and expectations
• Organizing the reviews that guarantee high quality and the acceptance of project result
  
  

Qualifications For The Role

• Several years’ experience of leading product development projects, experience from other roles in R&D organization is appreciated
• Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, scheduling, risk management and vendors/subcontractors
• Management experience in project execution, with strong, well-developed communication and presentation, influencing and coaching skills is essential
• Ideally, you have understanding and skills on lean and agile R&D development
• Team-playing skills, self-driven and active personality
• Preferably knowledge of frequency converter technology
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, e.g. electrical, mechanical or software engineering
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• IPMA C level certificate or equivalent is an asset
