UX Design Internship (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

What To Expect
Tesla is looking for a UX design intern to help define how users will interact with our enterprise applications. The applicant must have an affinity for minimal design and attention to the smallest of details. A strong ability to distil complex problems into simple, elegant solutions is key to success at Tesla. We are a fast-paced company with an entrepreneurial spirit, so most of our work will focus on innovating original and creative content and applications, as well as developing practical solutions that work in the real world. During your internship you will collaborate with product owners, other designers, content strategists, developers, and business partners, make decisions for the user experience and formulate additional, user experience driven requirements for Tesla’s enterprise applications.

What You'll Do

Guide the design process from discovery to concept, user testing and implementation

Design creative and innovative solutions that support multiple types of users with varying scopes and objectives

Determine UX solutions based on customer feedback and business goals and help determine overall direction, identifying challenges and adapting as needed based on the context of the solution and customer

Present your work to business stakeholders and users to ensure stakeholder alignment

Build on existing UX design patterns and guidelines, contributing to the Tesla Design System

What You'll Bring

Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Engineering; in Computer Science, Communication Design, UI/UX Design or Interaction Design preferred

Genuine curiosity in design, available tools, technologies and trends

Portfolio demonstrating your design thinking, hands-on expertise, and problem-solving skills

Experience with design tools such as Figma
