Software Engineer - Java Golang

For this client we're looking for a software engineer that will work in a team that delivers a modern and reliable Global Inventory Service (GIS), operating 24/7 in Google Cloud. This service supports key processes such as availability forecasting, financial reporting, and inventory planning. The team works in an Agile setup with a strong DevOps mindset, combining development and operational stability. Development is done in Golang, with a focus on automation, performance, and cost-efficiency. To support collaboration, team members are expected to work from the Amsterdam office three times per week.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience in Golang and Java.
• Strong domain expertise in inventory management for warehouses and retail systems.
• Proven DevOps experience in globally distributed 24/7 environments.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including:
  • Event-driven architecture using Google PubSub and Solace.
  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform.
  • Cluster management with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
  • Cloud cost optimization.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Sentry, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with Google BigQuery for analytics.
• Strong focus on automation in CI/CD pipelines and scripting.
