About the Role
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Consultant to support an upcoming migration initiative. This project involves transitioning legacy on-premises applications to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
Each application will be individually assessed to determine whether a lift-and-shift approach is suitable or if a full rebuild is required, leveraging modern cloud architecture principles to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
You’ll be joining a small, agile, and forward-thinking team focused on delivering robust and future-proof cloud solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the migration of legacy applications to Microsoft Azure.
- Evaluate each application’s architecture to determine whether direct migration or cloud-native redevelopment is appropriate.
- Contribute to designing modern, scalable solutions using cloud-native patterns and practices.
- Set up and manage infrastructure components such as policies, firewalls, and networking within Azure.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, especially on .NET-based systems (prior .NET knowledge is a plus).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps.
- Apply DevOps principles and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
- Work with stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into actionable cloud solutions.
- Actively contribute to architectural discussions and propose improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in Azure cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, security policies, and firewall configuration.
- Solid experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and applying DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and modern deployment strategies.
- Experience with or understanding of .NET development is a plus, particularly in support of application redevelopment efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – able to break down complex challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborative mindset – comfortable working in a cross-functional team and engaging with stakeholders.
