We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer for a freelance project in Brussels, Belgium. The position is fulltime and hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days WFH) over an initial duration of 14 Months.

B2B Freelance / Contract
40 hours p/week / Full-Time
IMPORTANT NOTE: Fluency in Dutch is mandatory for this position.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative web applications on Azure. You will be involved in one of two exciting projects:
1. Environmental Impact Simulator:
- Develop a new application to calculate the environmental impact of various project ideas and proposed measures.
- Focus on phosphate and nutrient removal, and minimizing overflow effects.
- Aim to provide an overall picture for both municipal and supra-municipal infrastructure.
2. Asset Management Platform:
- Enhance an existing web application used to monitor underground assets.
- Collaborate with the product team to further develop this platform for asset management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications on the Azure platform.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Leverage your expertise in full-stack development to deliver high-quality code and user experiences.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Programming Languages: Java, Angular
- Frameworks and Libraries: Spring Boot, React (preferred)
- Cloud Platforms: Azure (AKS, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- APIs: RESTful APIs, GraphQL
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Other: Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth, UX Design
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for technology and a desire to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly AKS and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of data architecture and data modelling.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
