HR Administrator job opening in Scarborough, ON


We have partnered with a client in the manufacturing arena who is looking to hire for an HR Administrator job opening in Scarborough, ON (please note this is an onsite role – TTC bus accessible, free parking). If you are an experienced HR Administrator with at least 2+ years of related experience who is looking for an exciting, versatile role where they can showcase your administrative skills, this may be the perfect Human Resources opportunity for you!


Some of the responsibilities of the HR Administrator job opening in Scarborough, ON may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide all administrative support for the HR Lead and team including scheduling, travel arrangements, reports creation, plant and office communications and more
  • Prepare letters, documents, various reports; this can include offer and termination letters, job posting creation, job description administration, etc.
  • Add, change, update the HRIS with various information
  • Assist with recruitment from job postings and initial screening
  • Pre-hire document preparation including setting up 3rd party background screening, references etc.
  • New hire preparation from start to finish including preparing offer letters and ensure this is all entered accurately and timely in the HRIS; this includes working with relevant internal parties to ensure set up
  • Employee records – inputting, tracking and maintaining
  • Process payroll, hourly/salary
  • Acting as the point person for any HR related matters
  • Lead wellness/health and safety initiatives; organize and track training initiatives
  • Additional ad hoc administrative, HR communications and clerical tasks for the organization; projects as requested.


The skills and qualifications for the HR Coordinator job opening in Scarborough, ON include:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Human Resources related role combined with at least 4 years of administrative support experience; manufacturing industry experience will take priority
  • Post-secondary education in Business, HR or a related field
  • Experience with payroll processing/administration; timekeeping such as Kronos experience a strong asset
  • Strong technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) along with HRIS experience; PeopleSoft experience a strong asset
  • A driven, professional self-starter who can work both independently and as a team member
  • Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal) along with strong interpersonal and employee relations skills
  • High level attention to detail and the ability to multi-task; flexible to various tasks and support
