Product Design Manager

We're now searching for a fantastic Product Design Manager in Helsinki to lead and inspire our close-knit team of super-talented senior product designers!

You'll be a crucial part of shaping the future of our product, making sure we create amazing user experiences that are both beautiful and a joy to use. We need someone who leads with empathy, fosters creativity, and creates an environment where designers can truly thrive. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about their team and knows how to help them grow.

In this role you will…

• Inspire and empower: Guide and mentor our amazing team of senior designers, helping them grow and do their best work. We believe in creating a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and can shine. ✨
• Shape the future: Work closely with product management and engineering to define the product vision and strategy, ensuring design is front and center in everything we do.
• Be the voice of the customer: Champion user needs and make sure they're at the heart of all our design decisions.
• Drive design excellence: Oversee the design process from start to finish, ensuring we deliver top-notch quality and pay attention to every little detail.
• Make things work (better): We care about how we work just as much as what we create. You’ll focus on design operations — improving processes, tools, and workflows to make life easier for your team and ensure we’re delivering top-notch work efficiently.
• Be hands-on (when it counts): While your main focus will be on leading and empowering the team, you’re not afraid to jump in and offer guidance, feedback, or even a little hands-on design work when the moment calls for it.
• Build bridges: Collaborate with teams across the company, like product management, engineering, marketing, and customer support.
• Stay curious: Keep up with the latest design trends and technologies, and always be on the lookout for new ways to innovate.
  
  

Your Day-to-day Work And Responsibilities Include…

• Leadership with heart: You have experience leading and mentoring design teams, and you genuinely care about helping people grow and develop. You understand that a happy team is a productive team. 😊
• Design chops: You’ve got 7+ years of experience in product design and a strong portfolio that shows how your work has solved real user problems in beautiful, intuitive ways.
• Design ops know-how: You’re familiar with design systems, workflows, and the processes that make teams run smoothly. You’re always looking for ways to make things better and more efficient.
• Strategic vision: You can connect the dots between business goals and design solutions that make a real impact.
• Customer obsession: You're passionate about understanding our users and creating experiences that are intuitive, delightful, and truly solve their problems.
• Communication superstar: You can clearly explain your design decisions and rationale to anyone, from your team to stakeholders across the company.
• Team player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and love working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
• Lifelong learner: You're always eager to learn new things and grow as a designer and leader.
