About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End React Developer to join our dynamic team based in NW London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing user interface components for our flagship financial software applications. This role requires a deep understanding of React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript frameworks to create robust, scalable, and maintainable front-end solutions. You will collaborate closely with back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences that meet high standards of quality and performance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean code, innovative problem-solving, and a proactive approach to development challenges.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of six years of professional experience in front-end web development, with a focus on large-scale applications. Proficiency in React.js, Redux, and TypeScript is essential, complemented by experience with Redux Toolkit, Material UI, and theming. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of modern build tools such as VITE, Next.js, and webpack, as well as linting tools like ESLint and Prettier. Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git, is mandatory. Strong leadership qualities and excellent attention to detail are critical, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable code. Experience working within an agile environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating within a team of front-end engineers to develop and implement user interface components that are both functional and visually appealing. Key responsibilities include writing clear, concise, and efficient code, working closely with back-end engineers to design and consume APIs, and participating in architecture design discussions and code reviews. You will be involved in establishing best practices for coding standards, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and ensuring that the application adheres to quality and performance benchmarks. Additionally, active participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives is expected to foster a collaborative and agile development environment.
