Java Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with a small and dedicated team to scale and enhance our software-as-a-service platform for speech recognition and administrative automation. This includes:

• Contributing to the development of a scalable system that supports our growth and ambitions
• Building new features in our backend
• Expanding our API and working on integrations with third-party applications
• Integrating new features into our frontend

• Salary: €60,000–€90,000 gross per year (based on 40 hours/week), depending on seniority + travel expense reimbursement

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Java
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks (preferably Angular)
• Experience with Git and code reviews
• Affinity with social or societal impact
• A team player who enjoys working in a close-knit, social team
• Pragmatic mindset — you don’t get stuck overanalyzing problems
• Able to work independently and solve problems on your own, but not afraid to ask colleagues for help
• Not allergic to or afraid of our friendly office dogs

Nice to haves:

• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or GitOps
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Preferably fluent in Dutch, as the rest of the team communicates in Dutch
