DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at PropHero, you will design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers our fast-scaling business. You’ll ensure systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for scalability, enabling developers and product teams to deliver quickly and confidently. Working closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, you’ll build infrastructure as code (IaC), develop automation pipelines, and continuously improve our AWS-based platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping the technical foundation of our services while driving best practices in reliability, observability, and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build and manage secure infrastructure on AWS using Terraform at every level.
• Cloud Platform Optimization: Improve the cloud environment to increase delivery speed, scalability, and product flexibility.
• Automation & Tooling: Develop self-service infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging solutions.
• Reliability & Monitoring: Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance and security.
• Collaboration: Partner with developers, delivery teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Research, propose, and adopt modern DevOps practices and tools to increase efficiency and resilience.

Requirements:

• Experience of 3–5+ years as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer with strong knowledge of AWS.
• Extensive experience with IaC, automated deployments, and configuration management.
• Proficiency with Terraform and AWS cloud-native services.
• Basics in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Knowledge of shell scripting.
