CSS Junior Security Monitoring Analyst

Job Description

Stefanini Group is looking for a Junior Security Monitoring Analyst to complement the technical capabilities of our Security Operations Center (SOC), part of our Infrastructure (INFRA) Division.

As a Junior Security Monitoring Analyst, you will be at the frontline of our cybersecurity operations, playing a crucial role in real-time monitoring and initial response to security threat, using advanced SIEM tools to safeguard our clients' digital assets.

This role operates under 24x7 rotating shifts schedule with 8.5 hours shifts.

Job responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor security events and incidents using different SIEM tools to identify potential threats, anomalies and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor multiple security technologies, such as Proxy , SEG, IDS /IPS, Firewalls, Windows Servers, VPN traffic, AV/EDR and other security threat data sources.
• Respond to inbound requests via email and other electronic means for technical assistance with security managed services.
• Perform manual alert correlations in accordance with predefined procedures and escalate based on specific Project/Client requirements.
• Handling of incidents through ticketing systems and follow through completion and/or escalation in accordance with established procedures.
• Document all security alerts and incidents with detailed analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Create or update processes and service operation procedures (SOPs, guidelines) for the assigned projects.
• Document procedures used to solve issues for future reference.
• Work in correlation with SLAs as applicable for day-to-day Operations of the Monitoring Team.
  
  

Job Requirements

Professional skills and required qualifications:

• Availability for 24/7 shift rotation schedule (8.5 hours shift).
• Basic understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks.
• Knowledge and understanding of Proxy services and protocols.
• Knowledge and understanding in email phishing response and analysis.
• Good proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving skills.
• Eager to learn new technologies & adaptability to new tasks.
  
  

Preferable but not mandatory:

• A sound knowledge of IT security best practices, common attack types and detection/prevention methods including malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management.
• TCP/IP knowledge, networking and security product experience.
