Role Summary:

As part of the Core Software Engineering team, the Senior Full Stack Java Developer will experiment with new technologies and innovative ways to solve problems. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as is comfort working in an agile, dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build scalable, highly reliable product features
• Design architecture/code and suggest scalable solutions
• Develop REST APIs
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate across teams for scalable solutions
• Estimate engineering efforts and manage schedules
• Identify and resolve complex production issues
• Rapidly fix bugs and solve critical problems
• Conduct code and design reviews
• Use source control and bug tracking systems
• Document best practices and contribute to knowledge base
• Write robust unit tests
• Refactor and improve existing code
• Support production systems and customer issues
• Lead large-scale projects and translate complex ideas
• Deploy and maintain applications/systems

Essential Experience (8 to 12 years):

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong Java 8/J2EE development experience
• Spring Framework, Hibernate JPA
• Microservices and Java Design Patterns
• RESTful API design
• Experience with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana (ELK)
• Python and Groovy knowledge
• Reusable API development, XML/JSON data processing
• JavaScript build tools & dependency management
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Docker, GIT
• Messaging: Solace or equivalent
• MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology
• Experience across all project layers (Front-end to Database)
• Solid understanding of design patterns
