Android Developer (Remote, Turkey-Based)

Location: Fully Remote (Turkey-based, aligned with UK working hours)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our distributed teams. You will be responsible for developing mobile applications for in-store retail devices powering daily store operations and improving efficiency across enterprise retail environments. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications (Java/Kotlin) for in-store devices.
• Work closely with backend and product teams to deliver integrated mobile solutions.
• Optimize apps for speed, reliability, and usability in demanding retail environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure high-quality, clean, testable code that follows best practices.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Android development with Java and Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack, and mobile architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git/GitHub.
• Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
• Based in Turkey, working UK-aligned hours.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with retail technology or enterprise-scale applications.
• Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter).
• Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
