Asset Operations Manager

About the Role

Bybit Dubai is seeking a Asset Operations Specialist to join our local finance/operations team. This role is critical to meeting VARA’s regulatory requirements for local wallet operations and ensuring proper maker/checker segregation. The Specialist will oversee the operation and administration of digital wallets, safeguarding crypto assets while balancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, manage, and administer hot/warm/cold wallets, ensuring security, compliance, and efficiency.
• Execute and oversee cryptocurrency transactions: payments, transfers, deposits, withdrawals.
• Manage wallet rebalancing across different types of wallets according to company policy.
• Facilitate cross-chain transactions and interoperability between blockchain protocols.
• Reconcile wallet balances and transactions regularly; investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and policies for wallet operations, in line with VARA requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement security best practices.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal teams regarding wallet operations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in digital asset operations, custody, or crypto wallet management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Deep understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and DeFi/Web3 projects.
• Hands-on experience with wallet operations (custody, hot/warm/cold wallets, multi-signature, MPC, exchanges).
• Strong knowledge of crypto security protocols and best practices.
• Familiarity with UAE/VARA regulatory frameworks is a strong plus.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Location: Dubai (local hire, mandatory for VARA compliance).
