Key Accountabilities
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert for for Core Broadband, Wi-Fi core, AAA, Hasantuk and IOT alogn with Fixed Access Technologies. Understand IP Connectivity and GPON network and provide resolution to L2 escalated issues related to network and customer TTs
- Provide the needed-on time support and troubleshooting for all issues happens in BB-IOT domain.
- Do the needful escalation and involve vendors on time affecting manner in case of need, and ensuring adequate follow up and problem resolution within contracted SLAs.
- Performing periodic analysis of performance reports and observations to proactively prevent issues from occurring
- Overall responsibility that periodic reviews of devices configuration to remove any wrong or unneeded configuration are done
- Resolving the Network and Customer TTs (For ALO Wi-Fi and Hasantuk) for enterprise and Consumer setup for FWA setup.
- Supporting the TL for Governance of IOT core and understanding of Virtualization.
- Handling daily Trouble Tickets as per EITC operation policies and scope of work.
- Oversee the provisioning of periodic and ad-hoc reports to planning team to help in the capacity planning and critical nationwide events.
- Providing the needed update for RFO – Reason for outage (if any)/following up all recommendation to avoid re-occurrence of similar faults till it take place.
- Assisting different planning teams/Acceptance Team in all Network Nodes Integrations, propose/attend ATP to assure redundancy, symmetry and best ways of integration are used.
- Maintains an up-to-date documentation/diagrams of the existing devices/solutions to help in troubleshooting issues and share them with other technical teams if required
- Work closely with planning team(s) on capacity planning, upgrades, and design issues related to existing solutions
- Perform periodic health checks, preventive maintenance service of BB Core, AAA, Wi-Fi core and Hasantuk Aggregators and check redundancy of overall solutions.
- Support Fixed Access Team in customer Troubleshooting.
- Ensure that all network elements and support systems are appropriately redundant and backed up in accordance with agreed policies wherever applicable.
- Implement patches and updates BB Core, AAA, Wi-Fi core and Hasantuk Aggregators based on Business requirement driven by Quality Management team
- Ensure consistency of network configuration and configuration database
- Prioritize & ensure the execution of performance, preventive maintenance related issues as the owner of the platform
- Coordinate with acceptance for all the changes in the network and ensure that the knowledge base is updated.
- Ensure monitoring and analysis of vendor performance as well as managing the vendor relationship together with the Vendor Management Organization
- Develop technical reports and documentation
- Work on any network disasters, prepare and implement alternative plans and finally restore network to deliver specified service levels.
- Support all efforts for releasing DR run-books in order to allow for successful service restoration in case of crisis.
- Inventory management of Hardware and TRACKING EOS software Review, approve, prepare MOP and implement CRs for different du business needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Leadership and management certifications
Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Telecom Domain.
- Knowledge of IP Protocols and Technologies.
- Experience on IOT platforms
- Understanding of IP Protocols and MPLS Networking
- Knowledge of Nokia BNG Technology and GPON Technology
- Experience relationship management inside and outside organization.
- Exposure to Virtualization and Related Operational Techniques
- CCNA and Similar Certifications will be an advantage.
