Focus 5 Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading ecommerce business as they look to recruit a talented Front End Developer with experience in Optimizely. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing company where you’ll play a key role in shaping and customising their digital platform to deliver outstanding online experiences for customers.

We’re looking for a creative and technically skilled developer who’s passionate about building intuitive, user-friendly websites and keen to work with modern technologies in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities for the Front End Developer (Optimizely) –

• Customise and develop the Optimizely (Episerver) platform to meet business and customer requirements
• Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to deliver engaging ecommerce solutions
• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility across all digital platforms
• Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the customer journey, enhancing site functionality and user experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of the digital platform
• Stay up to date with emerging front end and Optimizely developments, bringing fresh ideas to the team

Experience and skills we’re looking for –

• Proven experience as a Front End Developer, with hands-on expertise in Optimizely (Episerver)
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks/libraries (e.g. React, Vue.js, Angular)
• Understanding of ecommerce platforms and digital customer journeys
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile development environment
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A creative mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality, user-focused digital solutions
