Senior Python Developer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Developer (with AI experience) to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior Python Developer (with AI experience), become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. The Developer AI team is on a mission to supercharge the productivity, creativity, and satisfaction of our engineering teams by embedding AI capabilities into our internal developer tools and workflows. We build smart assistants, automation systems, and intelligent insights that redefine what’s possible in the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AI-powered developer tools and services
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define technical solutions
• Integrate LLMs (like OpenAI, Claude, or open-source alternatives) into developer workflows
• Experiment with prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and fine-tuning techniques
• Drive initiatives to improve developer velocity, quality, and satisfaction
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship
• Stay current with advances in AI, developer tooling, and software engineering best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in backend or full-stack roles
• Proficiency in languages Python, C#, or Java
• Experience with AWS and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven systems
• Exposure to LLM APIs, vector databases, and basic ML concepts
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for developer experience and building tools that engineers love

Desirable:

• Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar frameworks
• Background in AWS AI ecosystem and tools like Bedrock
• Experience with GitHub copilot or similar
• Contributions to open-source developer tools or AI projects
